It is the 22nd Nakshatra in Vedic Astrology and is formed by the three stars Altair, Alshain and Tarazed in the constellation of Capricorn. Its span spreads across 10°00′ to 23°20′ Capricorn. The word Shravana means “hearing” and the symbol used to represent this star is an ear. This Nakshatra hence, represents patient listening and learning by the use of ears.
